Racket Of Procuring And Selling PDS Rice Busted, Two Held

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (Maxim News): On credible information, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Civil supply officials laid a trap near TV Tower, in the limits of Malakpet,  intercepted one Lorry and found huge quantity of PDS rice and apprehended two accused persons, wherein the accused persons are organizing PDS rice business, illegally buying subsidized rice from beneficiaries at low price and dumping at isolate areas from there transporting to Zaheerabad in order to sell it again on high price to agents for illegal gains.  

The accused persons are  Mohd Imran S/o. Mohd Ali Late, Age: 30 yrs, Occ: Pan shop R/o.  Old Malakpet, Hyderabad, (Main organizer & Rowdy  sheeter of Chaderghat PS)

2. Samad Baig Ameer Baig  S/o. Ameer Baig, age. 22 yrs Occ. Driver R/o. Nanded, Maharashtra State ( PDS rice transporting Lorry Driver) 

Seized PDS Rice worth about Rs. 10 lakh, PDS Rice 235 quintals, transporting lorry Reg No. MH18AA-1569 and two mobile phones (belonging to the accused persons)  

 According to P. Radhakishan Rao,   Dy. Commissioner of Police(OSD), Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, the accused Mohd Imran is residing in the limits of  Malakpet and running a pan shop for his livelihood. Previously involved in Bodily, Extortion, Arms Act, and PDS Rice cases in Hyderabad.  His rowdysheet is maintained at  Chaderghat PS. He is organizing the PDS Rice business illegally to gain easy profits.

He is engaging local agents, purchasing PDS rice from the Food Security Card beneficiaries for Rs. 7/- per KG in around Hyderabad. After collecting the rice, dumping it into gunny bags concealed at the isolate godown and transporting through Goods vehicle to  Zaheerabad, Nanded Bidar and selling the PDS rice per KG Rs. 30/- to 35/- per KG to local agents and gain illegal easy profits.

Today the accused Mohd Imran engaged one lorry along with its driver by the name  Samad Baig Ameer Baig, loaded the PDS Rice in the vehicle, and transported it to Zaheerabad in order to deliver to agent Patel & Khan, 

On tip-off information near TV Tower, Malakpet limits intercepted the vehicle and apprehended the above two accused persons along with PDS Rice about 235 QUINTALS (23,500 KGs) Market Value Rs.10 Lakh Rupees.

The accused persons along with seized material handed over to Civil Supply Authorities, Malakpet Division for taking further action.

Apprehension was made under the supervision of P. Radhakishan Rao,   Dy. Commissioner of Police(OSD), Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad, B. Raju Naik, Inspector of Police, Central Zone Task Force, and SIs  Ch.Naveen Kumar, S.Sai Kiran, and staff of Central Zone Task Force Team, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
