Rahul Gandhi slams TRS Govt

Hyderabad, July 9 (Maxim News): AICC leader and the party MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday slammed the TRS government for attacking tribals and women who are protesting against the State government for protecting their land rights.

In a tweet, Rahul termed the suppression of the voice the tribals by the State government as unfortunate. The Congress leader said the State government had behaved in an inhuman manner against the women.

Stating that Telangana was formed to fulfil the aspirations of crores of people and the protection of tribal rights was one of the aspirations of people, Rahul Gandhi said the suppression of the voice of the tribals was an insult to the aspirations of the State .

The Congress leader alleged that KCR government had cheated the people by retracting from its promise of transferring the Podu lands to the tribals.

He promised that the Congress would stand by tribals in their fight for the protection of Jal (water) , Jungle Zameen (Land) .(Maxim News)
