Hyderabad, April 20 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has predicted light to moderate rains in Telangana state on Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, there is a possibility of rains in the combined Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts as well as Siddipet, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal and Nagarkurnool districts. The state has been witnessing mixed weather conditions for the past few days.
The sun is scorching all morning. It is raining in the evening. Daytime temperatures are being recorded between 40-44 degrees. The weather is cooling down a bit with the rains in the evening. The highest day temperature of 43.8 degrees was recorded in Adilabad district, 43.4 degrees was recorded in Manakondur in Karimnagar district, and 42.3 degrees was recorded in Konaraopet, Ellanthakunta and Nizamabad districts in Sircilla district.
Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds have wreaked havoc in Narmeta mandal of Jangaon district. In villages like Agazpet, Gandiramavaram, Veldanda, Ammapuram, Machupahad, Hanumanthapura, Bommakuru and other places, the paddy stored in the purchasing centers got wet and muddy. Trees fell on electric wires and poles, disrupting power supply in some places. In many places, the paddy crop that was ready for harvesting fell on the ground.
The farmers were in tears after a few quintals of paddy was washed away at a purchasing center in Veldanda. Light rains are falling here and there in several districts including Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
