Raja Singh Reacted On Verdict Of Dilsukhnagar Blasts Case: Jihad Means Killings Innocent People?
Hyderabad, April 8 (Maxim News): MLA Raja Singh responded to the Telangana High Court’s death sentence for the convicts in the Dilsukhnagar two blasts case. he expressed his anger that all those belonging to one religion were involved in these blasts. he said that there were people of all religions among the dead. He questioned whether Jihad means killing innocent people
Speaking to the press persons, here today, Raja Singh said that Yasin Batkal, who is A1 in this case, has not been found yet. He said that the NIA is asking them to conduct an encounter in a public court instead of the death sentence. MLA Raja Singh requested them to take permission to this extent. However, he said that he is happy that the verdict has come in the Dilsukhnagar bomb blast case after 12 years. He thanked the NIA police.
Meanwhile, on February 21, 2013, a series of bomb blasts in Dilsukhnagar killed about 17 people and injured more than 150, the NIA, which conducted a lengthy investigation into the case, found five accused guilty in 2016 and sentenced them to death. The accused challenged the verdict of the NIA court in the High Court, and the trial court found the five guilty and sentenced them to death.
NIA Special PP Vishnuvardhan Reddy said, we welcome the Telangana High Court verdict in the Dilsukhnagar twin blasts case. He said that the NIA court has found five accused guilty in this case and sentenced them to death. He said that the High Court has upheld the verdict given by the trial court. He said that 150 witnesses in the case have given statements in the court. In this, he said that technical evidence and witness statements have been presented before the court. With this, the NIA court has finalized the death sentence for five people.
He said that the High Court has dismissed the appeal petition filed by the accused against the verdict given by the trial court. He said that there will be 90 days to challenge the High Court verdict in the Supreme Court. He said that if the appeal is not filed within these 90 days, the death sentence will be executed. he said that the main accused in this case, riyaz Bhatkal alias Mohammed Riyaz, is hiding in Pakistan.
He said that it is difficult to catch Riyaz Bhatkal due to the presence of the enemy country in Pakistan. he said that the NIA has effectively investigated and placed the evidence before the court. He said that the accused carried out a trial blast in Hayat Nagar before the Dilsukhnagar bomb blast. Vishnuvardhan Reddy revealed that the High Court dismissed the appeal petition filed by the five convicts, agreeing with their arguments. (Maxim News)
