Raja Singh Urges Hindus To Buy Maha Shivaratri Pooja Items Only From Hindu Seller
Hyderabad, Feb 24 (Maxim News): BJP MLA Raja Singh has emphasized the importance of purchasing pooja items from Hindu sellers on Maha Shivaratri. He urged devotees to be cautious and thoughtful when buying essential items like flowers and coconuts for the religious rituals associated with the festival.
In his statement, Raja Singh advised people to verify whether the vendor they are purchasing from is Hindu by checking whether they have a “Bottu” (traditional mark) on their forehead, a symbol often associated with Hindus.
Think Twice Hindus…
He pointed out that some of those selling flowers and coconuts for pooja may not adhere to hygienic practices, noting that certain sellers don’t even bathe for upto a week or ten days before selling their goods.
Raja Singh urged the public to think twice before making purchases for the festival. His remarks reflect a broader concern for supporting the Hindu community and ensuring that the spiritual and cultural significance of the festival is preserved.
This call highlights a broader sentiment in some political and cultural circles to promote self-sufficiency and religious unity by encouraging the purchase of religious materials from sellers who are part of the same community.(Maxim News)
