Meanwhile, it is reported that the party high command advised PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud not to come to Delhi. Mahesh Goud then postponed his visit after the high command suggested discussing the selection process through Zoom. These developments have triggered fresh political speculation within the party.

High Command Consultations on Rajya Sabha Seats

There is talk that CM Revanth Reddy is trying to secure the second Rajya Sabha seat for his follower and government advisor Vem Narender Reddy. However, Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge, son of former Union Minister Shivshankar, has already recommended the name of Dr. Vinay. As a result, differing preferences appear to have complicated the decision.

These parallel moves have led to various speculations in the party. Meanwhile, Mahesh Goud addressed the media and clarified his position. He said his visit to Delhi was postponed due to the unavailability of AICC seniors in the national capital. Therefore, he denied any political rift behind the delay.

Zoom Meeting Ahead of Nominations

Mahesh Goud also stated that he will meet CM Revanth Reddy and AICC in charge Meenakshi Natarajan in the afternoon. He added that they would discuss the selection of candidates with the high command through Zoom. This indicates that the final decision may emerge soon after internal consultations.
