The actor revealed on Tuesday evening that he has penned the lyrics for the first single from his upcoming film, Andhra King Taluka, marking his debut as a songwriter.

The track, slated for release on July 18, is already making headlines for multiple reasons. Earlier on Tuesday, Ram announced that the soulful number has been sung by none other than Anirudh Ravichander, one of India’s most celebrated music directors. Now, with Ram himself confirming that he wrote the lyrics, excitement surrounding the single has doubled.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Ram shared: “This one’s straight from my heart to yours… Thank you @filmymahesh @iamviveksiva @MervinJSolomon for inspiring me to explore and write Sagar’s love journey. Love… #RAPO #AKTFirstSingle #AndhraKingTaluka.”

The actor also posted a teaser poster carrying the caption: “A melody that speaks heart in the voice of Anirudh Ravichander.” Earlier in the day, Ram had tweeted: “Love just found its voice… & what a voice it is @anirudhofficial. Thank you Rockstar!”

He added, “His voice. Their tune. One unforgettable vibe. The most lovable track from #AndhraKingTaluka drops on July 18.”

The single, which blends poetic lyrics with soothing visuals and a memorable tune composed by the Vivek–Mervin duo, has been shot in picturesque, exotic locales. Industry insiders suggest that the song will be a visual and emotional delight, particularly for fans of Ram and music lovers alike.

Final Schedule in Full Swing

Meanwhile, the film’s production is currently in its final stretch. Directed by Mahesh Babu P, Andhra King Taluka is being shot in Hyderabad, where a specially constructed set is hosting a night shoot schedule featuring lead actors Ram Pothineni and Bhagyashree Borse.

Sources say the 10-day night shoot will be followed by a 20-day day schedule during which key portions, including the climax, will be filmed. The production is expected to wrap up after this schedule.

Andhra King Taluka is touted as a unique biopic of a devoted fan named Sagar, portrayed by Ram. The story explores the life and passion of a movie fan whose devotion takes him on an extraordinary journey. Bhagyashree Borse, rapidly rising in popularity, plays the female lead, while Kannada superstar Upendra will appear as a fictional film star named Surya Kumar.

The film boasts an impressive technical team including cinematographer Siddhartha Nuni and National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad. A recently released teaser gave fans a glimpse of the film’s tone — a mix of mass appeal and emotional depth. It begins in a theatre where a ticket seller reserves seats for VIPs. Ram enters and confidently demands 50 tickets. When asked which taluka he belongs to, he replies with pride: “Fans.”
