Ayodhya, July 6: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has accepted the resignation of its General Secretary, Champat Rai. The decision comes amid ongoing scrutiny over allegations related to the management of Ram Temple donations.
According to reports, Champat Rai is expected to continue as a trustee despite stepping down from the post of General Secretary.
Reports said Bajrang Bagra is likely to succeed Champat Rai as the Trust’s General Secretary. Bagra currently serves as the International General Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
A chartered accountant by profession, Bagra has also served as the head of the public sector undertaking National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO). His experience in finance and administration is expected to support the Trust’s management, according to media reports.
The leadership change comes as allegations regarding the handling of Ram Temple donations remain under public and official scrutiny. Authorities have not announced any findings establishing wrongdoing, and the matter remains under examination.
The Trust has not yet made an official announcement regarding Bagra’s appointment.
