Ranchi station to be redeveloped as world class

The South Eastern Railways today announced that Ranchi station will be redeveloped as world class railway station in India. SER’s chief planning and design engineer V K Srivastava in a meeting discussed on the proposal for redevelopment of Ranchi station under its jurisdiction. He told the engineers to make the Ranchi railway station as World class one, as proposedby Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu. Mr Srivastava also spoke on the challenges of designing and execution, including details of land records, legal resolutions and relocation requirements. The redevelopment of Ranchi station, includes well decorated waiting hall, concourse area,multi – cuisine restaurant, and other passenger amenities along with utilisation of vacant space for commercial development.
