It took 10 years of hardship and practice to find a place as a record setter for running on toe knuckles for Rapelli Srinivas, from Kothirampur area of Karimnagar. In the end, all that work and tenacity paid off in 60 seconds as Srinivas ran a distance of 137.1 metres on Sunday morning on his toe knuckles to stake claim as a Guinness Book of World Records holder to have performed the feat.
Srinivas’ 60-second run at the Ambedkar Stadium here in the morning was recorded and the video was submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records. Karimnagar Municipal Corporation Mayor S Ravinder Singh flagged off Srinivas’ record-setting run.
