Rapido entered the cab business in Hyderabad in May 2023 and within less than a year, has registered more than 50,000+ cab captains and completed 4 lakh+ rides since its inception. Over 3 lakh+ captains across India have been onboarded onto a SaaS-based platform for cabs. The SaaS-based model allows captains to retain 100 pc of their earnings and only pay a minimal subscription fee starting from Rs.500 after a captain earns Rs.10,000 on the platform.

This has led to an increased number of cab drivers embracing the convenience and flexibility of online operations, thereby enhancing their earning potential and improving overall service accessibility for commuters. As a pioneer in adopting the Zero-Commission model, Rapido fosters a supportive and empowering environment for its captains enabling them to earn more and maximize their earnings. Besides facilitating affordable commute options, the expansion of Rapido has significantly helped in generating employment opportunities in Hyderabad, contributing to the overall economy of the city.
Engaging with the captains, Mr. Pavan Guntupalli, Rapido’s co-founder, encouraged and rewarded them for their invaluable efforts in helping Rapido achieve its vision and keep the city moving.

Their tireless efforts are the backbone of our service, making urban travel dependable and effortlessly connecting every nook and corner of Hyderabad for our valued customers. Our captains, who start their day early in the morning play a crucial role in helping the commuters reach their respective destinations on time.
Navigating through the congested roads of Hyderabad, especially during times of peak hours requires patience and alertness. We are deeply grateful for their tireless efforts in ensuring safe and reliable transportation, despite the challenges they face regularly.” going beyond the idea of a celebratory event, the ‘Cab Mahotsavam’ organized by Rapido is not just about the rides provided by the captains, but the stories they create with each journey.
