Ration Card Holders ALERTED: Last Date For KYC Extended

Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Maxim News): Telangana government has made an important announcement,  Ration card holders should complete this KYC by January 31, 2024. The civil supplies Department has issued orders to this extent.

This KYC process will continue across the state. Officials said that about 70 percent has been completed. Medchal Malkajgiri district is at the top with 87.8 percent. Officials have advised those who have not done so to complete it before January 31.

The Central government is currently providing free ration in all states, through a scheme called Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Center says to link Aadhaar number (this KYC) with the aim to remove bogus ration cards in most of the country.

The government, which has already extended the deadline several times, has recently extended it once again. In the order, the government said that if this KYC is not completed, the ration will be cut. The government is going to delete the ration card of the customers who have not seeded the Aadhaar card with the ration card as fake.  (Maxim News)
