Hyderabad, Aug 30 (Maxim News): GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has directed the officials to resolve the complaints about the problems in the ward office according to the citizen chart.  Along with the Red Hils ward office set up in Chintal Basti, the Mayor inaugurated Mehdipatnam Goshamahal ward offices today.

On this occasion, the Mayor said that out of the 150 wards under the GHMC, due to some unavoidable reasons, the ward offices could not be opened in 14 wards.  The Mayor said that the people used to go to the head office, zonal and DC offices to listen to their problems, now Ward offices have been set up as a result of the efforts of the state municipal urban development and IT minister K. Tarak Rama Rao to provide administration in front of the people.

The officers were instructed to act politely without angering the complainants who came to the ward offices and also to receive requests on the problems related to the ward to other departments and send them to the concerned department or to the ward for resolution.

The Mayor said that the ward office set up in the city as part of the decentralization of administration is getting a good response to people’s problems.  The mayor explained that the ward administration officer would be responsible for sanitation, entomology, town planning, engineering, UCD, UBD, water board, and electricity in the ward office.

Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner Venkatesh Detre, Goshamahal corporator Lal Singh, and others participated in this program.  (Maxim News)
