Revanth Arrested In Drone Case; Sent To Charlapally Jail For Judicial Custody

Hyderabad, March.5 (Maxim News): Congress MP from Malkajgiri A Revanth Reddy was arrested by SOT police at Shamshabad airport on Thursday. He was taken into custody when he landed at the airport from Delhi. He was produced before the Upparapally Magistrate, who remanded him to 14-day judicial custody. The police took him to the Charlapally Central Jail amidst tight security.

The MP was arrested on the allegations of using a drone illegally to shoot the farm house purportedly owned by IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao at Janwada village under Narsingi police station limits.

The Narsingi police have already registered cases against the MP under Sections 184 and 187 IPC and Section 22 read with 5a of Aircraft Act against Revanth and eight others. When he questioned the Narsingi Police how his name was included in Cr.No. 224/2020 U/s 188, 287, 109,120(b) IPC and sec 11(a) r/w 5A of the Aircraft Act at 16.45 hrs, Revanth Reddy was explained about his involvement and available evidence. When the MP refused to co-operate with the police, he was arrested after following due procedure and produced him before the court concerned. (Maxim News)
