He demanded that the Central government give national status to this Medaram jatara and grant funds to this extent.

“With the blessings of Sammakka-Saralamma, I started the padayatra from here on February 6, 2023. We set foot on this land to get rid of the ills that befell Telangana. The rulers of that time discriminated against the development of the Sammakka-Saralamma temple. But our government is ready to sanction any number of crores of rupees. We are making tribals, priests, and traditional families partners in this. The people’s government was formed with the blessings of Sammakka and Saralamma. We decided to develop the temple on a permanent basis. I came here to know the opinions of the locals.

The authorities should ensure that the work is completed in 100 days. We have designed the structures to be made of stone structures only. We have designed the structures to withstand natural disasters. Plans should be made to store water in the Jampannavagu.

The work should be completed with dedication in the next hundred days. We will construct stone structures only. We will complete the work by the time of the Maha Jatara”. This is possible only with the participation and cooperation of the locals. We will come again for the maha jatara. let’s make the Jatara great this time, said CM Revanth Reddy.

The Congress government was formed with the blessings of those goddesses. I have been visiting the goddesses since I was elected as an MLA. We have decided to develop the temple on a permanent basis so that it can withstand natural disasters. Our belief is that there should not be even a hint of difference in tradition. We should work to pass on the history and spirit of the tribal struggle to future generations,” the Chief Minister said. (Maxim News)
