New Delhi / Hyderabad, Dec. 16 (Maxim News) : Chief Minister Revanth Reddy remained busy during his Delhi visit, holding a series of meetings with Union ministers to seek support for key education projects in Telangana.
The visit focused mainly on strengthening school education, higher education, and central institutional support for the state. During the visit, the Chief Minister met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and later held discussions with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
During his meeting with the Union Finance Minister, Revanth Reddy sought support for setting up Young India Integrated Residential Schools across Telangana.
He informed the minister that the state plans to establish 105 Young India Integrated Residential Schools. He explained that these institutions would directly and indirectly provide better education to nearly four lakh students. The Chief Minister also outlined the financial requirements for the project and explained its long term impact on the education sector in the state.
Financial support sought for Young India Integrated Residential Schools
Revanth Reddy told the Union Finance Minister that the construction of Young India Integrated Residential Schools and other educational institutions would involve an expenditure of Rs 30,000 crore.
Revant Reddy therefore requested an exemption from FRBM norms for the loans proposed to be raised for this purpose. He explained that such support would help the state implement large scale education reforms without financial hurdles. Meanwhile, he highlighted that the schools would improve access to quality education and strengthen human resource development in Telangana.
Later, the Chief Minister met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and requested approval for setting up an Indian Institute of Management in Hyderabad.
CM informed the minister that the state has already identified 200 acres of land for the proposed IIM. He also said that a transit campus is ready so that classes can begin immediately once approvals are granted. He assured the Union Minister that the state government would provide all required infrastructure for the IIM.

During the same meeting, Revanth Reddy requested the sanction of nine Kendriya Vidyalayas and sixteen Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in line with the increase in the number of districts in Telangana.
CM Revanth informed the Union Minister that the state is ready to provide land and necessary facilities for these institutions. The Chief Minister stressed that these schools would strengthen the education network and support students across districts. The Delhi visit thus underlined the state government’s push to expand education infrastructure through central cooperation. (Maxim News)
