Revanth Reddy Demanded the Cancellation Of ORR Tenders Immediately
Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): TPCC President and MP, Revanth Reddy demanded immediate cancellation of ORR tenders. He criticized the concerned minister for giving an answer to the ORR controversy. He said that the son of Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K. Tarak Rama Rao is not able to give a proper answer and is keeping silent on the dispute.
Speaking to press persons, Revanth Reddy said that thousands of crores of rupees were looted in ORR tenders and KTR could not answer and was talking to the authorities.
He said that Outer Ring Road is worth Rs. 70 thousand crores, how it can be given on lease for 30 years for only Rs. 7 thousand crores, he asked. He questioned how the property of the people of Telangana be pledged. Revanth Reddy declared that now there is not even a single rupee of debt burden on the Outer Ring Road and the Telangana government s selling the government institutions
He said government means when only the ruling party and the opposition come together. It is the responsibility of the officials to inform everyone about the details of the tenders. If you keep it a secret without telling the details, you will have to go to jail. Principal Secretary to MA & UD Arvind Kumar is keeping all the details with him secretly. Government property cannot be sold. If Arvind Kumar is in power for three years, he has no right to finalize ORR tenders for 30 years.
While selling government assets, tenders should be called showing their minimum support price. How can they bid for an ORR tender of Rs. one lakh crore without fixing a minimum price? Banks are ready to give loans if the ORR contract is given. In such a case, why give contracts to anyone? Rs. 40 crores are spent per year for the maintenance of trees and plants around ORR. Why are you not telling the names of the companies participating in the tenders? (Maxim News)
