Revanth Reddy demands action against MLA’s son

Hyderabad, Jan.6 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & MP A. Revanth Reddy today demanded the state government to take action against ruling TRS party MLA from Kothagudem Assembly constituency Vanama Venkateswar Rao in connection with the suicide of a family of Ramakrishna. Ramakrishna along with his wife and two children committed suicide by self immolation at Paloncha .

Revanth Reddy, who is in quarantine at his residence in Jubilee Hills after he was found Covid positive, issued a video statement on Thursday expressing anger and disappointment over lack of action against the TRS MLA’s son Raghavendra Rao. He said a businessman, Naga Ramakrishna, committed suicide along with his wife and twin daughters, in Paloncha town in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district on 2nd January. While Ramakrishna, his wife and a daughter died on the spot, another daughter is battling for life in a hospital with 80% burn injuries. He said that the police initially tried to hush-up the matter by citing financial problems as the reason for the suicide pact. However, the police was forced to register an FIR against TRS MLA’s son after they found a suicide note left by the victim. He said even after three days, police was yet to arrest Raghavendra Rao and others who drove an entire family to suicide.

The TPCC Chief pointed out that a selfie-video has surfaced on social media in which the victim, Ramakrishna, made shocking accusations against TRS MLA and his son. In the video, Ramakrishna alleged that Raghavendra Rao asked him to bring his wife to Hyderabad to settle a financial dispute. Felt humiliated, he resorted to the extreme step of committing mass suicide along with wife and twin daughters. Ramakrishna specifically said, “No man would like to hear such words about his wife from a third person and I was shell shocked. I’m a common man and I can’t fight against this corrupt leader, so I’m taking this drastic decision.”

Reddy said that the son of the MLA Vanama Raghava was behind the en masse suicide of the four members of the family. He said that it was unfortunate that the ruling TRS party leaders supported the MLA’s son . He said that an innocent family had become the victim of the cruel acts of the MLA’s son.

Stating that the police has not initiated any action in the issue even after the three days of the incident , he asked the police as to why they did not take any action in the issue . He wondered if CM KCR was not aware of the illegal acts of the MLA’s son.

Komatireddy demands FIR against MLA’s son

Congress party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has demanded the police to register an FIR against the MLA’s son in the issue and added that Raghava should be named as an accused number one in the issue.

He said that it was unfortunate that the police had not taken any action in the issue so far. He demanded the police to arrest Raghava immediately and added that CM KCR should take action against Raghava . (Maxim News)
