Revanth Reddy In News Delhi, Fuels TPCC Post Aspirants Hopes
Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 15 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s visit to New Delhi to meet the party’s high command has fuelled the aspirations of leaders who are hoping for different designations in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).
The Chief Minister flew to New Delhi last night and is expected to meet AICC Chief Mallikarjun Khaerge and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal. It is still unclear if he will meet Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress high command on Friday appointed Meenakshi Natarajan as the new AICC Telangana in charge replacing Deepadas Munshi. Revaznth Reddy is also expected to meet Meenakshi Natarajan in New Delhi.
During the meeting with senior leaders, the Chief Minister is likely to discuss the caste census report, the current political situation in the state, and the filling up of TPCC working president posts, senior vice presidents, and other posts.
There is buzz in the Gandhi Bhavan that like last time, this time too there would be a jumbo team in the TPCC. There is every possibility of the party’s high command appointing three to four leaders as working presidents.
The Chief Minister’s close aide Rohin Reddy, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and Vamshichand Reddy are among those seriously aspiring to be the new working presidents.
Likewise, there is speculation that the high command could appoint one leader from SC, ST, Mahi,la and Minorities sections as well. Former Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir, Feroz Khan and Faheem Qureshi are vying for appointment under the minorities quota.
The TPCC’s last team had five working presidents, 10 senior vice presidents, 20 vice presidents and 70 secretaries. This time too, there could be a jumbo team. (Maxim News)
