Revanth Reddy Sets Up Panel for Development of Cow Shelters

Revanth Reddy | Hyderabad, May 31 (Maxim News):  Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has issued orders to form a committee regarding the establishment of cow shelters in the state and to come up with a complete plan within the stipulated time. 

CM Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with officials at the Command Control Center today (Saturday) on the development, management, and conservation of cow shelters in the state.

He said that cow shelters should be established to facilitate cow protection and management.  In the first phase, he suggested that cow shelters should be established in the lands related to the Veterinary University, colleges, the Agriculture University, colleges, and temples in the state.  He wanted to identify the available places for this. 

He ordered steps to ensure that there are cowsheds of at least 50 acres.  He wanted to take steps to ensure that cows are allowed to graze and roam freely, rather than being confined in narrow spaces.

He instructed the officials to prepare complete plans to establish cowsheds with state-of-the-art facilities.  He suggested considering the issue of involving charitable organizations in the management and care.  He wanted to prepare plans with complete budget estimates for the construction, management, and care of cowsheds.

The Chief Minister reviewed various designs for cow shelters to be set up in MK palli in the Moinabad mandal of Rangareddy district and suggested some changes in the designs. The officials were instructed to finalize the designs of cow shelters within four to five days.

Seshadri, Srinivasa Raju, CM Secretary Manicka Raj, CM Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Savyasachi Ghosh, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, Animal Husbandry Department Director B. Gopi, District Collector, Rangareddy Narayana Reddy, and officials from various departments were present.(Maxim News)
