Revanth Reddy terms CM KCR’s Delhi visit as drama
Hyderabad, Nov.24 (Maxim News): TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today termed the Delhi visit of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as a drama enacted by the ruling TRS and opposition BJP .
He said that the farmers of the state had become a pawn in the political drama of the two parties. He asked the CM as to why he was enacting the drama in Delhi instead of buying paddy from the farmers of the state.
Reddy wrote an open letter on the issue. In his letter, he asked the CM to spell out his stand on the procurement of wet paddy. He said that the paddy crop was drenched due to the delay by the state government in the purchase of the paddy. Referring to the letter written by CM KCR led state government to the center stating that they would mount any kind of pressure on it over the purchase of the paddy in rabi season, he said that the letter of CM KCR had turned out to be a death rope for the farmers of the state.
He said that he was speaking with pain after observing the problems faced by the farmers during the party’s kallalloki congress program. He said that both TRS and BJP had lost the confidence of the people of the state. He demanded the state government to provided legal status to minimum support price and set up market intervention fund.
He said that the families of the farmers who had committed suicide, were now forced to approach courts for seeking compensation. He said that the party would hold dharna programs in all mandal and district headquarters of the state and added that they would fight in a vociferous manner on behalf of the farmers. (Maxim News)
