Revanth Reddy Woos Yadav Community With Promises Ahead Of Jubilee Hills Bypoll
Hyderabad, Oct 19 (Maxim News) As campaigning for the Jubilee Hills by-election gained momentum, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said political opportunities had been extended to the Yadav community but more needed to be done.
“The community’s significance will be recognised. I will take up the responsibility of discussing with the high command and deliver more opportunities,” Revanth Reddy said at the Sri Krishna Sadar Sammelan held at NTR Stadium here on Sunday.
BJP State president N Ramchander Rao and former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya shared the stage with the Chief Minister at the event. Congress has fielded V Naveen Yadav as its candidate for the Jubilee Hills by-election.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said there might have been delays in fulfilling certain promises but there was never any intention to sideline the Yadav community.
“Yadav leaders will be provided appropriate positions in welfare and development initiatives, and in political roles as well,” Revanth Reddy assured.
He said the Yadav community played a key role in the formation of the Congress government in Telangana. Owing to their support, the government was able to maintain peace and order in the city and promote Hyderabad as a safe investment destination.
Revanth Reddy recalled that soon after the Congress government assumed office, the Sadar festival was declared a State festival following appeals from Yadav community leaders, including Shankar Yadav and former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav.
He added that Yadav leaders, irrespective of party affiliations, could approach the government without hesitation to have their issues addressed. (Maxim News)
