Revanth Reddy’s False Propaganda On VBG Gramji Scheme
Hyderabad: BJP state president N. Ramchandra Rao on Saturday accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of spreading false propaganda on the VBG Gramji scheme.
He said the Chief Minister repeatedly speaks about the VBG Gramji scheme while the BJP continues to gain support in municipalities. He also demanded clarity on who supplies free rice through ration shops.
Rao questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo does not appear on rice bags issued by the state. He referred to the distribution under the Sannabiyyam for all scheme. He also objected to Indira Gandhi’s photo being printed on ration rice bags.
He accused the Congress government of following an approach that separates money from ownership. According to him, such policies mislead the public on welfare delivery. Therefore, he said the VBG Gramji scheme is being used for political messaging.
BJP targets VBG Gramji scheme narrative
Rao made the remarks while unveiling a diary at the BJP state office on Saturday. The diary was prepared under the party’s state unit.
He criticised the Congress government for campaigning under the Indiramma housing programme. However, he alleged that the poor have not received even basic housing support.
He said the Congress is likely to face a setback in the upcoming municipal elections. He added that the party has recently acknowledged the need to resolve water disputes through dialogue.
Rao stated that he has maintained this position for a long time. He said the Centre’s stand is to ensure justice to both states. He repeated that misleading claims around the VBG Gramji scheme will not benefit the Congress. (Maxim News)
