Revanth Reddy’s Neglect Cripples Gurukuls, Depriving Dalit, Tribal, Backward, and Minority Students of Quality Education
Hyderabad, Feb 17 (Maxim News): BRS Working President K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticized the Congress government, accusing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of neglecting Gurukuls and putting the future of thousands of underprivileged students at risk.
KTR said that Gurukuls, which thrived under KCR’s leadership, have fallen into chaos within just one year of Congress rule. He alleged that the Congress government is deliberately targeting these schools to erase KCR’s legacy, ignoring the fact that they provide quality education to Dalit, Tribal, Backward, and Minority students.
Parents Losing Trust in Gurukuls
KTR pointed out that under the BRS government, 1.68 lakh applications were received for 41,000 seats in SC, ST, BC, and Minority Gurukuls. But under Congress rule, only 80,000 applications were submitted for 51,000 seats—a sharp decline.
“This shows that more than 80,000 parents no longer trust the system and are unwilling to send their children to these schools,” KTR said.
Over 50 Student Deaths Due to Negligence
KTR also raised serious concerns about over 50 student deaths in Gurukuls under the Congress government, due to hunger, snake bites, suicides, and food poisoning.
“Earlier, parents were eager to get their children admitted to Gurukuls. Today, they are afraid for their children’s safety,” he said.
He criticized the Congress government for not even visiting the grieving families or offering support. Instead, he claimed, BRS leaders were stopped from meeting the victims’ families.
Students Future in Danger
KTR reminded that many Gurukul students became doctors and engineers under the BRS government. But now, he said, the lack of proper management and vision under Congress is destroying their future.
Blaming CM Revanth Reddy, KTR said that despite being the Education Minister, he has failed to protect and improve Gurukuls.
BRS Will Continue Its Fight
KTR warned that people are realizing Congress’s promises were false. He demanded urgent action to fix Gurukuls and restore them to their previous standards.
Until then, he declared, BRS will continue to fight to protect the future of underprivileged children (Maxim News)
