Hyderabad, June 15 (Maxim News): Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, the Revenue Minister, announced that a revenue tribunal will be established shortly to address land disputes across the state.

He criticized the previous government for hastily launching the Dharani portal without proper research, which led to numerous issues.

The Minister convened with members of the Dharani Committee — Kodanda Reddy, Sunil Kumar, and Madhusudan — at the Secretariat in Hyderabad.

Following this meeting, he noted from his field visit to Khammam district that many families in every village were grappling with land-related problems. He assured the public that the government is committed to reforming the revenue system as pledged during the election, aiming to swiftly resolve all pending issues.

Additionally, he mentioned that the Dharani committee had extensively reviewed land laws from 18 states and recommended consolidating key laws into a single statute, paving the way for a new revenue law. Furthermore, amendments are slated for the current ROR-2020 Act and the associated Dharani portal to enhance their clarity and accessibility to the general populace. (Maxim News)
