Road ahead ‘much better’, extremely grateful for people’s support, says Jaitley

Arun Jaitley revealed RBI now has a substantial amount of currency available for disbursement “to support the market to the extent that the market needs that kind of liquidity.”

In an attempt to provide some relief to the common man after demonetisation, Union Finance Minster Arun Jaitley said on Thursday that the ‘critical part’ of remonetisation is behind us and it will be ‘much better’ going forward from here on. Jaitley expressed his gratitude for the people of India for maintaining great composure and belief in the time of difficulty, saying that the government was “extremely grateful to the people of India who have in very large measure supported the move.”
