Robbery In Jewellery Shop In Secunderabad, 4 Arrested

Hyderabad, May 30 (Maxim News): Police have cracked the case of robbery of a jewellery shop in Secunderabad. The Hyderabad Task Force Police arrested a gang who stole around two kg of gold from a Jewellery shop in Secunderabad in the name of IT officials.

Zahir, Rahim, Praveen and Akshay were detained in Thane, Maharashtra; two others from Hyderabad who helped them were arrested. The stolen gold was recovered from this gang.

A massive robbery took place in Secunderabad’s Monda market on May 27 in the afternoon. Some people posing as IT officials stole 1700 grams of gold from Harsha’s jewellery shop and ran away. On Saturday, five people came to Harsha’s jewellery shop in Monda market. They went to the owner of the shop on the third floor and threatened them, saying that they were committing fraud in the purchase of gold. The staff was made to sit on the side to check all the gold in the store. They did not pay any tax related to the 1700 grams of gold in the shop and seized it and ran away.

The shop owner explained to the owners of other Jewellery shops in the area that the IT officials had come and taken away the gold. However, the owner was taken aback when the IT officials told him that they would not do the inspections, they would give notices first and filed a complaint with the police.

The police have intensified the investigation in this theft case. Task force police along with 5 special teams were also on the look out for the accused. Police have identified the accused as a gang from Thane, maharashtra. Some teams went to Maharashtra to catch them. But earlier, it was recorded on the CCTV that the accused went to JBS in an auto after the theft. From there, the police found that this gang went to Maharashtra via Kukatpally and Patancheru.

The four accused were arrested by the Hyderabad Task Force Police in collaboration with the Maharashtra Police. Police have launched a manhunt for four more people related to the case. (Maxim News)
