Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued job appointment letters to 61,000 people at the 18th Rozgar Mela held across the country on Saturday. The Prime Minister handed over the appointment documents virtually to candidates who secured central government jobs in different departments. The Rozgar Mela took place through video conferencing from 45 centres nationwide, connecting beneficiaries from various regions.
According to the information shared at the programme, a large portion of the recruitments relate to the Home Ministry and paramilitary forces. Prime Minister Modi said that 49,200 of the total recruitments fall under the Home Ministry and allied forces. He stated that women constables are being recruited in large numbers. He added that this became possible due to several facilitation measures taken by the government over the last 11 years.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister spoke about the expanding role of women in security forces. He said that women BSF troops are working at the Zero Line on the borders. He also said that a woman Assistant Commandant will lead the men’s CRPF contingent at the Republic Day parade. These remarks highlighted the government’s focus on increasing participation of women in uniformed services.
The Rozgar Mela programme, according to the Prime Minister, reflects the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities to the youth. He said the initiative aims to speed up recruitment in government departments and ensure timely appointment of selected candidates. Therefore, the event focused on delivering appointment documents directly to beneficiaries without delay.
Later, officials shared details of the overall progress made through the Rozgar Mela initiative. More than 11 lakh recruitment documents have been issued so far through these job fairs. These recruitments cover several ministries and departments. They include Home Affairs, Health, Financial Services, Higher Education, and other central government offices.
Also, youth from across the country took part in the 18th Rozgar Mela and received their job recruitment documents. The event brought together selected candidates through a common platform, even as it was conducted virtually. The programme continued the series of Rozgar Melas organised to fill vacancies and strengthen manpower across central government departments.
