The Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka while presenting the budget stated that free power will be supplied to the farmers in the state for 24 hours. Upto 200 units of free electricity will be given under Griha Jyoti, he said, that Rs. 2,418 crores are being allocated for this purpose.
He also said that in this budget Rs. 7,740 crore has been allocated to the housing department. He said that the previous government had cheated the poor by saying that they would give them double-bedroom houses, and the Congress government would implement the Indiramma Houses scheme as part of the six guarantees.
He said that if there is a house and land for the homeless, Rs. 5 lakh will be given for the construction of the house. He said that they are going to bring funds from the center for this purpose. Bhatti Vikaramarka stated that 3,500 houses will be given to each constituency. (Maxim News)
