Hyderabad, Aug.21 (Maxim News): Former Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao today announced to set up a big apparel park on 64 acres area in his home segment Siricilla by spending Rs 175 crore and provide employment to about 10000 women in it.
He participated at a weavers program at Siricilla and vowed to get brand image to local clothes for big promotion to boost employment. We plan to make the weavers industrialists by spending about Rs.380 crore, he announced amid applause from the gathering.
The TRS Government is committed for weavers welfare and so far waived off loans for 11000 weavers and also those 808 weavers who borrowed Rs 5 lakhs.
KTR added that the government bears Rs.9 crore to offer yarn on 10 percent subsidy to the weavers.
About 40.50 crore meters of clothes were given order in the district which will provide employment for eight months, he said.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took initiative for weavers welfare and spending big funds. The weavers are a happy lot now in our regime as about one crore Bathukmma series are getting ready for distribution among women in the state by September 15, KTR informed. (Maxim News)
