Rs 20,000 Cr for Dalit Bandhu Scheme in Next Budget: CM KCR
Hyderabad, Oct.5 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that they would allocate ₹20,000 crore in the next budget for the implementation of Dalit bandhu scheme in Telangana .
He made this announcement during the ongoing Assembly session while replying to a discussion held on the issue of the implementation of the scheme .
Speaking on the occasion, KCR made it clear that the scheme was not introduced to implement it in Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
He reminded the house that the scheme took birth in the state in the year 1986 and added that he had organised a Dalita Chaitanya program for the implementation of scheme in Siddipet district.
He said that they had set up Dalits an women associations for the implementation of scheme.
The CM said that they had so far given priority for energy, drinking water and irrigation sectors of the state so far and added that the ground water levels had gone up in the state due to the implementation of mission Kakatiya scheme.
He said that no tank whose restoration works were taken under the Mission Kakatiya scheme were breached so far in the state.
Stating that they had thought to implement the Dalita bandhu scheme as soon as coming into power for the second consecutive term, he said that the scheme, which was supposed to be launched last year , was delayed due to the spread of corona virus.
He said that the state had sustained ₹1 lakh crore loss due to the Covid virus . He said that they had plans to implement the scheme in all 119 Assembly constituencies of the State. (Maxim News)
