Sabitha Indra Reddy Demands Probe Into Miss England’s Harassment Allegations
Hyderabad, May 25 (Maxim News): Senior BRS MLA P. Sabitha Indra Reddy has demanded an immediate inquiry into the serious allegations made by Miss England Milla Magee, who exited the Miss World pageant midway, citing harassment during her stay in Hyderabad. She also urged both the National Women Commission and the State Women Commission to intervene and initiate necessary action.
In a statement, Sabitha Indra Reddy said the Congress government has brought shame to Telangana and India on an international stage. Referring to Milla magee’s claims that she was pressured to “please middle-aged men” and “treated like a prostitute,” she said the government must come clean on who was responsible for the alleged misconduct.
“This is not just an accusation just against the organisers. It is a matter of national dignity, since the pageant is being held in our State capital under the supervision of the government,” the former Home Minister said. She emphasised the need to ascertain who harassed the contestants and tried to exploit them.
