Siddipet: Actress Samantha and Telangana IT Minister KTR met Handloom Weavers in Siddipet as a part of it’s promotion.
Telangana govt has already taking steps in support of Telangana traditional weaving as the weavers lost their livelihood for decades as there is no encouragement for their work.
After the formation of state KCR had taken steps to encourage the revival of dead tradition by forming a rule in the government offices to wear handloom dresses at least twice a week. As a part of it’s promotion KTR and Samantha visited Handloom Weavers in Siddipet.
