Hyderabad: A Sangareddy fire gutted a private school building in Pothireddypally on Wednesday afternoon. The fire broke out in Shraddha private School and spread rapidly through the structure. However, no casualties were reported as the school remained closed due to polling for the municipal elections.
The Sangareddy fire started on the ground floor of the G Plus 3 storey building. Within moments, flames spread to the other three floors. Dense smoke and tall flames engulfed the premises. As a result, the entire building was gutted in the fire. Locals noticed the blaze and immediately alerted authorities. Meanwhile, panic gripped the area and residents ran after the incident.
Firefighters reached the spot soon after receiving information from locals. They arrived with fire engines and began operations without delay. The teams then worked to control and extinguish the flames. After sustained efforts, they put out the fire.
