SC Adjourns Hearing on Approval to Pending Bills of Telangana by 14 Days
Hearing | Delhi/Hyderabad, April 10 (Maxim News): The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing on the petition filed by the KCR government against the Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundara Rajan for keeping pending 10 Bills passed by the Assembly, seeking directions for the assent has been postponed for two weeks.
It may be recalled that the petition was filed by the Chief Secretary to the government on behalf of the State government. The Telangana Sarkar (KCR) has filed petitions including the Governor’s Secretary and Union Law Secretary as respondents. The petition came up for hearing before the Supreme Court Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud bench today, with this, the Supreme Court bench decided to adjourn the petition.
today, the governor took a decision in an unexpected manner while the pending bills of Telangana were being heard in the Supreme Court. Dr. Tamilisai gave the seal of approval to three of the bills sent by the government, Also two bills were sent back. Two bills were sent for President’s approval. Governor Tamilisai kept 3 more bills pending. (Maxim News)
