Scrutiny Of Nominations Is Completed: The Highest Number Of 114 Nominations In Gajwel Approved

Hyderabad, Nov 14 (Maxim News): In the Telangana Assembly elections process, scrutiny of nominations was completed on Tuesday evening.  Out of the total nominations filed, the nominations of 2,898 candidates were approved.

According to the Election Commission schedule, the deadline for withdrawal of nominations ends on November 15.  Candidates can withdraw their nominations before 3 pm.  How many of the 2,898 will withdraw their nominations? How many people will be left in the final elections? it will be revealed by tomorrow evening.  

According to the number approved after the consideration of nominations, Gajwel, where Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is contesting has received the higher number of nominations in which approval was given for the higher number of 114 nominations.  It seems that the nominations of 67 candidates in Medchal, 56 in Kamareddy (the second seat where KCr will contest), and 57 candidates in LB Nagar have been approved.

The process of nominations started on the 3rd of this month and ended on November 10.  96 people applied on the first day, 136 on the second day, and finally on the last three days 618 filed on Nov 8, 1,133 on Nov 9, and a maximum of 2,327 on the last day, thus the election officials announced that a total of 4,798 nominations were made in the election.

In the 2018 elections, 2399 nominations were filed for 119 constituencies out of which 456 were rejected, of the rest 367 candidates withdrew,  Finally, 1,821 candidates stood in the election.  However, it is noteworthy that 1,569 candidates lost their deposits in the election. (Maxim News)
