Secretariat Police Book Case In Hussain Sagar Boat Fire Incident

Hyderabad, Jan 27 (Maxim News) The Secretariat police have booked a fire accident case in connection with the boat fire mishap that occurred in Hussain Sagar on Sunday night.

According to the police, as part of the ‘Bharatha matha maha Aarathi‘ celebrations, a boat and jetty (platform were arranged by the event organisers. It was burning firecrackers accidentally one firecracker had missed the direction and hit the boat which was loaded with firecrackers.

“Due to this, all the crackers started bursting and the boat caught fire. The Jetty which was beside it too caught fire and was damaged in the incident,” said an official.

Three persons identified as Ganapathi, the crackers operator, P.pranith, the boat driver and D.Sunil, another boat driver suffered burns in the incident. While Ganapathi was severely injured, the condition of others is said to be stable. They are being treated at the hospital.

The case was booked on the complaint lodged by Prabhudas, the Unit Manager at Lumbini park. Officials said that based on further investigation necessary action will be taken. (Maxim News)
