Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU)’s NSS Cell today organized a one-day seminar on the theme of Yoga for Humanity in connection with International Yoga Day. This event was sponsored by Inter-University Center for Yogic Science.
Talking about the importance of yoga, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU in his presidential address said that today’s world believes yoga is very important for health. We have deteriorated the environment by moving away from nature. We have to return to our traditions and nature, he added.
Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Rai, Banaras Hindu University, said that the beauty of our country is our traditions. But today we have abandoned our traditions, and in the same way, we also have left yoga.
Dr. Sarita Kumar, Karnal, Haryana spoke on Yoga and Sangeet (Music) and said both are interrelated and breathing can be controlled by both Yoga and Sangeet. If the breathing sequence is wrong during yoga, it can have negative effects on health. Dr. Rashmi Singh, Karnal, Haryana said that yoga is not just an exercise but a way of living, and mental peace can be achieved through yoga. Yoga is very effective in relieving anxiety, depression, and stress.
Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Dean School of MCJ, Head Department & NSS Coordinator, Dr. Ashwani, Associate Professor, and Dr. Firdaus Tabassum shared the dais. A large number of students, teaching, and non-teaching faculty attend the inaugural.
