Senior Technical Assistant Of Metrology Dept Of RR In ACB Net 

Hyderabad, March 21 (Maxim News): AO-1 Singaboina Uma Rani, District Inspector, Legal Metrology (Weights & Measures], Ranga Reddy was caught by ACB, Hyderabad City Range -Il Unit, today when she demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs 10,000/- through AQ-2  D. Mallesham Sr. Tech. Assistant from the complainant Salehundam Giridhar Rao, License Holder authorized by Legal Metrology, for showing official favour i.e. “for stamping and generation of validity certificate for the work done by the Complainant in respect of the 25 Electronic weighing machines of the NATCO Pharma Limited, Kottur. ( Rs.400/-@ 25 Electronic Weighing Machines)”. The Accused Officers thereby performed their public duty improperly and dishonestly.

The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of AO-2 at his instance. The fingers of both hands of AO-2 yielded positive results in the chemical test.

The AO-1: Singaboina Uma Rani, District Inspector, Legal Metrology (Weights & Measures), Ranga Reddy, and AO-2 Sr D. Mallesham Sr. Tech. Assistants are being arrested and produced before the Prl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Court at Nampally, Hyderabad. The Case is under investigation. (Maxim News)
