Set up welfare homes for mentally challenged: Hyderabad High Court
The Hyderabad High Court on Friday observed that there is a moral duty cast upon the state to set up special homes or rehabilitation centres for the mentally challenged persons all over the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The bench of Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy and Justice T Rajani was dealing with a public interest petition referred to it by the Supreme Court that wanted the authorities to take welfare measures aimed
at protecting the children of female convicts and also persons who are mentally challenged.
