Shabbir Ali presents degrees at Kamareddy graduation day, highlights Congress focus on education
Kamareddy: Advisor to Telangana Government (SC, ST, OBC & Minorities) and senior Congress leader Mohammad Ali Shabbir attended the graduation ceremony of RK Group of Colleges at Lakshmidevi Gardens in Kamareddy on Saturday. He handed over degree certificates to graduating students and witnessed cultural programmes organised on the occasion. He also distributed cash awards to top-performing students across various disciplines.
Speaking at the event, Shabbir Ali said the Congress government in Telangana is giving special priority to education. He noted that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has retained the education portfolio to directly monitor its progress.

He criticised the previous BRS regime for neglecting the education sector, stating that scholarships were halted and fee reimbursement dues amounting to ₹3,500 crore were left unpaid. In contrast, the current Congress government is releasing those funds in a phased manner, he said.
Highlighting ongoing efforts, he said Telangana is planning to set up a unique sports university not seen anywhere else in the country. Integrated educational institutions, one in each constituency, are being constructed on 25-acre campuses, he added.
Shabbir Ali stated that the Congress government has so far provided 60,000 jobs and allocated an engineering college to Telangana University after coming to power.
Addressing students, he urged them to aim for prestigious positions like IAS and IPS to bring national and global recognition to Kamareddy. He assured that he would work towards developing Kamareddy as a “study hub”. (Maxim News)
