Shamshabad Flights Canceled Amid West Asia Tensions

Hyderabad: Several flights to foreign countries from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad have been canceled. Airlines took this decision due to the war atmosphere between Iran and Israel.

Around 22 flights departing from Shamshabad have been cancelled. Meanwhile, another 22 flights arriving from various countries have also been cancelled. The disruption has affected both outbound and inbound services.

Shamshabad Airport Sees 44 Flights Cancelled

Flights from Shamshabad Airport to Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Saudi Arabia have been canceled. Services to Kuwait, Dubai, Muscat and Medina have also been temporarily suspended. As a result, passengers planning travel to these destinations faced sudden changes.

Airlines like Air India, IndiGo, Emirates, and Qatar Airways have cancelled flights in view of the war situation prevailing in West Asia. Therefore, flight operations to several Middle East destinations have come to a halt. The cancellations reflect growing concerns over the regional situation.

DGCA Issues Advisory to Passengers

With the cancellation of flights, the area around Shamshabad Airport is about to become deserted. Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued a key advisory to passengers. The DGCA has advised to cancel trips to Middle East countries and to check flight status through airline websites and airport authorities.
