- Sharad Pawar health condition monitored at Pune hospital
- Sharad Pawar shifted to Ruby Hall Clinic for tests
Sharad Pawar hospitalisation triggered concern on Sunday after the Nationalist Congress Party SP chief fell ill and required medical attention. The 85 year old leader was shifted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune from his residence in Baramati after his condition worsened. He had been suffering from a sore throat and severe cough for the past few days, according to the information provided.
Reports said Sharad Pawar developed a throat infection since last night. However, his family members became alarmed when he began to experience a persistent cough and a feeling of tightness in his chest. Therefore, as a precautionary step, they shifted him to Pune in an ambulance for medical examination and care.
Meanwhile, doctors at Ruby Hall Clinic began conducting tests to assess his condition. Dr Parvez Grant, a renowned cardiologist and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, spoke about Pawar’s health. He said, “Pawar ji has a throat problem and cough. Our team of doctors is currently conducting all kinds of tests on him. After the reports come, we will decide whether to keep him in the hospital or give him medicines and send him home.” The statement indicated that doctors were closely monitoring his condition before taking a final decision.
Sharad Pawar hospital care is being handled with extra caution because of his medical history. As a cancer survivor, doctors take even minor throat related issues seriously. Therefore, his admission to the hospital was seen as a preventive step rather than an emergency intervention. Hospital sources have not shared further details beyond the ongoing tests.
Later, activists linked his health concerns to possible mental stress. They believe that the recent sudden death of his elder son Ajit Pawar may have affected him emotionally. However, no official statement confirmed this view. The information was shared only as an opinion expressed by activists.
Sharad Pawar hospitalisation has drawn attention across political circles, with many closely watching updates on his health. However, no further medical bulletin has been issued so far. Doctors said they would take the next step only after reviewing test results.
