Hyderabad, April 17 (Maxim News): A long awaited Shastripuram Road over Bridge (RoB) was now thrown open for commuters on Friday, bringing relief to around one lakh daily commuters.
The 4-lane Shastripuram RoB aims to ease traffic movement heading towards National Highway-44, the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
Several surrounding areas would be also benefited mainly the traffic coming from Bibi Ka Chasma, Falaknuma, Vattepally, Shastripuram, Teegalkunta, Nawab Sahab Kunta (towards Shamshabad), Katedan and Aramgarh.

Commuters and motorists who used a detour of nearly four km via National Police Academy (NPA), Shivarampally or the Falaknuma-Chandrayangutta route to reach Bandlaguda road could now reach the destination in just three to five minutes through the RoB.
The RoB allows traffic from Mailardevpally to Falaknuma RTC bus depot via Vattepally, by minimising travel time of commuters by 30 minutes.
IT minister, D Sridhar Babu inaugurated the RoB on Friday.
