Shock To The Congress: EC Issue Notice To Karnataka CS
Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 28 (Maxim News): The Central Election Commission gave a shock to the Karnataka Congress government during the Telangana elections. The EC has expressed its anger at the Karnataka government, which has seriously considered giving advertisements in Telangana.
In this connection, the Central Election Commission has written a letter to the Karnataka Chief Secretary. The Election Commission said in the notices that issuance of advertisements is a violation of election rules.
The Election Commission has issued instructions to the Karnataka government to give an explanation by 5 pm tomorrow. It has made it clear that the advertisements will be stopped from now on. It warned that strict action will be taken if it is given. However, recently in Telangana, the Karnataka Congress government has given announcements in English and Telugu newspapers that they are implementing six guarantees as they said in the elections in Karnataka. BRS and BJP parties have complained to the Election Commission, the Election Commission has issued notices to the Government of Karnataka. They said that they have not taken permission from the Karnataka government to give advertisements in Telangana. (Maxim News)
