Siddaramaiah Likely To Be The New Karnataka Chief Minister

New Delhi, May 17: After days of speculation and intense deliberations, the Congress party has reportedly made its decision on the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. According to sources, Siddaramaiah has been chosen to assume the position.

The official swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place tomorrow, following lunchtime. Siddaramaiah is anticipated to take the oath of office individually. Additionally, a Congress legislative party meeting has been scheduled for Thursday at the Kanteerava Stadium around 3:30 pm.

In a significant development, DK Shivakumar, who was also vying for the Chief Minister’s position, is likely to be offered the role of Deputy Chief Minister with prominent portfolios.

Both DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, prominent Congress leaders, met with the party’s top leadership in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss their aspirations for the Chief Minister’s post. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi held a meeting with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, with Surjewala in attendance, to finalize the announcement of the next Karnataka Chief Minister.
