Siddaramaiah Sworn In As The New Chief Minister Of Karnataka

Bangalore/Hyderabad, May 20 (Maxim News): Senior congress leader Siddaramaiah took oath as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot administered oath to Siddaramaiah. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore.

Eight Congress MLAs took oath as Karnataka ministers Jameer Ahmed (Muslim Minority), G. Parameswara (Dalit), KH Muniyappa (Dalit), KJ George (Christian), MB Patil (Lingayat), Satish Jarkali (ST) , has taken the oath.  

Congress key leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, Tamil actor Kamal Hasan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish, Rajasthan CM Gehlot, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Bhagel, Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, leaders of various parties, film and political celebrities attended the swearing in.

DK Shivakumar takes oath as deputy CM of Karnataka

KPCC President DK Shivakumar took oath as the deputy chief minister of Karnataka on May 20. Karnataka governor Thawar Chand Gehlot administered the oath of office and secrecy at th swearing ceremony.

Ahead of the ceremony, Rahul Gandhi, Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah were seen holding each other’s hands in the air as a show of strength and unity.

DK Shivakumar will continue as the Karnataka Congress president till the end of parliamentary elections.
