Speaking to press persons, here today, the DGP clarified that they have kept a watch on the Bangladeshis in Hyderabad, but action will be taken if they come to Hyderabad illegally. Actions will be taken according to the warnings of central intelligence agencies. DGP clarified that the Telangana Police Department is ready to face any consequences.

The DGP further said that cyber security has become important in the current digital era. He said that the Telangana government attaches prime importance to the safety and security of the people.

He said that since the establishment of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, many cases have been resolved and people’s money has been refunded Rs. 150 crore to the victims who lost money due to cybercrime in the last year. He said that 10,000 people from all over the country are participating in this hackathon. He said that vulnerabilities in various websites and apps will be discovered through this hackathon. Similar hackathon programs will be organized in the future as well.
Shikha Goyal, Director of, the Cyber Security Bureau said that people who have studied are mostly victims of cybercrime. It is said that 70 percent of cybercrime victims are well-educated people. IT employees are said to be 56 percent victims of cybercrime. People from 20 countries are participating online in this hackathon.

The Cyber Security Bureau will work with the winners of this hackathon. The government is working hard to develop cyber security infrastructure. Bhavesh Mishra, Deputy Secretary, IT Electronics Department, Government of India said that 2 cyber crime cases are reported every minute.

Though many people have been victims of cybercrime, they are not coming forward and complaining. Last year, Rs. 7,500 crore was lost due to cybercrime.
