Six inter-State drug peddlers held, two kg ganja seized

Hyderabad, Sept.21 (NSS): Sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team, today apprehended six persons in front of Nampally Railway Station for possession of hash oil and ganja, which was brought from Padaru village, Vishakapatnam. The sleuths seized 202 bottles of hash oil worth Rs 4,04,000, two kg Ganja worth of Rs 80,000 and two bikes which were used in commission of offence.

The accused identified as Chakali Venkat Lingam alias Venkatesham, Chintal, Daramsoth Yashwant Naik of Tulsi Nagar, Borabanda, Aelliy Mahesh Babu, student from AVN Collage, Vizag, Neyyala Sai Kumar, Zomato delivery boy of Alipuram village of Visakhaptanam, Gadagamma Madhan Kumar, student from Sri Pada Degree College, Vizag, and Ch. Ganesh, working in Spencer, Beach road, Vizag, Manoj of Paderu (Hash oil supplier absconding), Praveen of Vizag (Ganja supplier at Vizag absconding).

Chakali Venkat Lingam and Daramsoth Yashwant Naik decided to purchase hash oil from Manoj in Vizag, and Ganja from Mahesh of Alipuram, Visakhapatanam and sell the same in Hyderabad to needy customers. Venkat and Yashwant went to Padaru town and met Manoj and collected one litre of hash oil. Venkat and Yashwant ordered two kg Ganja from Mahesh. They started to Hyderabad in a bus while Mahesh along with his three friends Neyyala Sai Kumar, Gadagamma Madhan Kumar and Ch. Ganesh started to Hyderabad along with two kg Ganja on their two wheelers.

Today morning, Venkat and Yashwant got down in front of Nampally Railway station. Later, Mahesh along with three friends reached the Nampally railway. The accused Chakali Venkat Lingam, Daramsoth Yashwant Naik, Aelliy Mahesh Babu, Neyyala Sai Kumar, Gadagamma Madhan Kumar and Ch. Ganesh along with the seized material were handed over to the SHO, Nampally PS.

The arrest was made under the supervision of P. Radha Kishan Rao, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force by T. Srinath Reddy, Inspector, West Zone Task Force Team with the assistance of SI Md. Mujaffar Ali and the staff of West Zone team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad City. (NSS)
