Six-member gang of thieves arrested, property worth Rs 26,50,000 seized

Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): On credible information, the Gopalapuram police on Friday early hours, nabbed six persons identified as Ishaq, Mohd Gulshed, Mohd Juned Aalam, Abdul Ansar Ali, Riyasad and Bablu Ahmad at the In-gate of Secunderabad Railway Station, while they were moving under suspicious manner and on interrogation, they confessed their guilt in seven cases. The police recovered 43.25 tolas of gold ornaments, 27 tolas of silver ornaments and net cash of Rs 4,13,000 all worth Rs Rs. 26,50,000.

The Dy Commissioner of police, north zone, Hyderabad city, said the modus operandi of the gangsters was on the pretext of garments business used to travel from one place to another by RTC and pvt buses as passengers, observe the luggage bags of passengers, target the bags. While the passenger is on other work, some of the accused cover the passenger, then the main accused break open or remove the bag zip, commit theft of cash, gold, valuables from the luggage bags of passengers and get down in the next stage.

While going to commit offence, they carry bags to mislead the victims. Gang organizer engages associates for Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 for assistance in committing offence. They change associates frequently to avoid identity from victims. The gangsters take shelter in nearby lodges and rented rooms after committing the offence and on the next day again they move out to commit another offence.

The principal accused was identified as Ishaq, 42 years, garments business, resident of H.No.13, Kamalapur (village), Koil (Tehsil), Aligarh (District), Uttar Pradesh State, Mohd Gulshed, 52 years, garments business, residing at Rajipaloni (V), Ballamghad (Tahsil), Faridabad (District), Haryana State, Mohd Juned Aalam, 35 years, garments sales, resident of Patiyali (V), Kasram Nagar (Dist), Uttar Pradesh, Abdul Ansar Ali, 37 years, garments sales, resident of Aladpurnivri village, Daligate (Thana), Aligarh (District), Uttar Pradesh State, Riyasad, 37 years, garments sales, resident of Gonda Road, Shahjamal, Koil, Aligarh, UP, Bablu Ahmad, 32 years, garments sales, resident of Abaghad (V), Jaleshar (PS), Etah (Dist), Uttar Pradesh State.

The accused were involved in seven cases. 1) Cr. No. 144/2022 U/s 379 IPC of Gopalapuram PS, Hyderabad City, 2) Cr. No 31/2022 U/s 379 IPC of Kotagir PS, Nizamabad District, 3) Cr. No.106/2022 U/s 379 IPC of Mavala PS, Adilabad District, 4) Cr. No. 54/2022 U/s 379 IPC of Jangaon PS, Warangal District, 5) Cr. No. 342/2021 U/s 379 IPC of Armoor PS, Nizamabad District, 6) Cr. No. 211/2021 U/s 379 IPC of Nizamabad I Town PS and 7) Cr. No 249/2021 U/s 379 IPC of Nirmal (T), Nirmal District.

The arrests were made under the supervision of G. Venkateshwarlu, Addl. DCP, North Zone, N. Sudhir, ACP, Gopalapuram by B. Sai Eashwar Goud, Inspector, B Kotaiah, Detective Inspector and R Pandu Raju, SI and Crime Staff of PS Gopalapuram. (Maxim News)
